Tracy Otsuka was born in Germany (yes, she speaks German). After returning to the States, the family settled on the Peninsula - where Tracy's mother Marlena was a realtor for nearly 26 years.
Tracy received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German from the University of California at Davis, a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Masters in Law in Securities Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. As Senior Counsel, she practiced for five years with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
In 1993, Tracy founded a manufacturing company which produced women's designer sportswear under the Otsuka label. The label was sold wholesale worldwide as well as through the Otsuka catalog. Key U.S. accounts included Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.
In 1998, in an effort to spend less time in airports and more time with her family, Tracy began working as a real estate broker for Coldwell Banker. In 2001, she moved her real estate practice to RE/MAX Marina where she specializes in country and city properties in Petaluma, Penngrove, Cotati and Rohnert Park. Having a local expert like Tracy support home buyers and sellers makes for a more pleasant experience and that is exactly why Tracy does what she does.
Tracy, an Accredited Staging Professional incorporates this art of arranging and preparing homes for sale into every marketing plan. This assures her clients a marketing edge that truly sets their home apart from others on the market and translates into a home that sells faster (6.8 days vs. 136 days) and for more money than a home that has not been staged or prepared for sale. Because Tracy believes that the appearance of your home is integral to the successful marketing of your home, staging is always included with her service.
Tracy and her husband, Richard Stefani live in Penngrove on six acres with a pond and plenty of ducks. They have a daughter, Atea and a son, Markus. Tracy is consistently ranked in the top 10% of RE/MAX realtors.
